Short Meadows Acres
Short Meadows Acres
Short Meadows Farm is located between Bulls Gap and Baileyton, in East Tennessee at exit 30 in the Ottway /Woodlawn Communities. We raise Dorper and Oxford Sheep. Our sheep are pastured raised, and fed grass hay when the need for it arises. We let our mommas decide when the best time to wean their babies. We fully believe that Mother Nature is smarter than we are when it comes to weaning the babies off.
Our sheep are registered Dorper and Oxford, ensuring the best genetics are used to ensure great, high-quality meat is provided to the consumer and they can trust they will receive the same great taste every time they consume Short Meadows Acres Lamb.
We, like you, want to know where our food comes from and what was used to be able to produce the final product. We want clean, wholesome food, just like you. We do not use any food that has GMO, hormones, or antibiotics. However, if we have a sheep that becomes sick, we do take care of it and remove the animal from the flock and sell them after the withdrawal period on the open market. Never would an animal be harvested that was doctored or treated with antibiotics.
All our lambs are raised on grass and grass hay to the proper harvest weight. If you want the best tasting lamb in East Tn, our lamb is for you! We sell cuts of lamb that are USDA inspected for your personal eating pleasure. Please contact us for any information.
